Inspired by Dunk Low: Fog White and Violet Bracelet Design

Before tackling my loose bead collection, I turned my focus to the two colours left in my stock, fog white and violet. Fog white, with its versatile and neutral tone, was the perfect base colour, able to complement almost any hue. Violet, on the other hand, provided a bold contrast, making the combination both eye catching and harmonious. The pairing reminded me of the classic sneaker colour schemes, where white is often paired with vibrant tones for a clean yet statement making design. Drawing inspiration from the Dunk Low Active Fuchsia sneakers, I decided to create a bracelet that echoed this iconic aesthetic.

The design itself was intended to be simple yet striking. I wanted the violet beads to stand out against the fog white base, much like the accent colour in a well designed sneaker. The result was a piece that captured the energy and vibrancy of the Dunk Low Active Fuchsia while maintaining the elegance that fog white brings to the overall design. This process sparked an idea: could I expand on this concept and create an entire collection centred around the versatility of white paired with dual colours? It felt like a promising direction that could allow for endless creative possibilities while maintaining a cohesive theme.

Reflecting on the journey of my inspired designs so far, I’ve realised how each piece has shaped my understanding of my own creative vision. While I have greatly enjoyed drawing inspiration from sneakers, K-pop, and other sources, this bracelet marked a turning point. It helped me see the potential of forging my own signature collection. This doesn’t mean stepping away from inspired works, but rather building on them to create designs that reflect a blend of external influences and my unique perspective.

CONCLUSION

The fog white and violet bracelet was more than just a vibrant design, it was a stepping stone toward a broader vision. Inspired by the timeless appeal of sneaker aesthetics, this piece opened the door to the possibility of a collection centred around dual colours with white as the foundation. While I will continue to explore inspiration from various sources, this project has ignited a new desire to develop a personal collection that might one day inspire others, just as I have been inspired along my creative journey.
