Taking inspiration from the simplicity and elegance of the cross inspired bracelet, I decided to create a new design featuring coral red beads. This particular shade of red stood out in my collection as unusual and distinct, prompting me to experiment with various complementary elements. Initially, I tested the coral red beads with both gold and silver spacer beads to find the best contrast. Ultimately, the modern, understated silver complemented the coral red far better than the luxurious gold, creating a harmonious and polished look.
For this design, I adapted the arrangement used in my cross inspired bracelet, replacing the cross spacer beads with silver barrel spacers. I retained the silver spacer separators to recreate the “window box” effect that had worked so well in the previous piece. Despite the abundance of silver accents, the overall design remained cohesive, allowing the coral red beads to shine as the focal point. The arrangement achieved a balance between boldness and refinement, further enhancing the bracelet’s visual appeal.
As I worked on the design, I found myself reflecting on the process with a more analytical mindset. Coming from an accounting background, I began to calculate the exact number of beads and spacers used to achieve this balanced arrangement.
