Midnight Navy Bracelet Design: Inspired by Iconic Jordan Colours

For my next bracelet design, I wanted to continue experimenting with dark colours, focusing specifically on a deep, nearly black shade of blue. Initially, I tried pairing it with vibrant colours to create contrast, but the combinations didn’t bring out the look I was hoping for. Then, while experimenting with a foggy, almost translucent white, I found an unexpected inspiration. The colour pairing took me back to my days of selling shoes as a side hustle, reminding me of the midnight navy and white colour way from the Jordan 1 collection. It was a small but meaningful connection, and it struck me how this new bead making journey had echoes of that earlier venture in exploring colours that resonate with people.

The midnight navy Jordan 1 combined a strong, dark blue with subtle white accents, and I used this approach as a foundation for my design. I made the dark blue beads the primary colour, with the foggy white beads adding a soft, understated brightness. This balance made the design feel classic yet stylish, achieving the impact I wanted without overpowering the subtlety of the piece. It reminded me of my recent watch inspired collection idea, suggesting that a shoe inspired collection might be another fun direction to explore. Creating bracelets that reflect different cultural or fashion icons like popular shoes could not only connect with others but also showcase various design possibilities.

Each new piece I design sparks fresh ideas for themed collections, from watch inspirations to iconic footwear. These connections help me see how bead making is more than a simple craft, it’s a way to explore influences that matter to me and share those stories through design. The thought of creating collections based on diverse themes excites me, pushing me to envision where my creative journey could go.

CONCLUSION

This design journey has shown me that inspiration often comes from unexpected places, like my shoe selling days or other interests. Each piece brings me closer to defining my unique style, and I look forward to exploring new themes for future collections. The creative process is endless, and I am excited to see how each experience shapes my work and my connection to this craft.
